A Claw Machine With a Difference
Not UFO Catcher but Marine Catcher
Here’s something interesting I found recently in Osaka, a claw machine with a difference. Instead of the usual prizes of stuffed toys and suchlike, with this one you can get live lobsters! I can see the novelty aspect of trying to win clawed crustaceans with a game of skill involving a claw, but I can’t help but wonder about the animal cruelty aspect, not to mention how anybody who wins a live lobster is supposed to carry it home in a plastic bag.
Check out these other unusual photos - the vomit bar, the Harajuku oddball, samurai Colonel Sanders and the ‘ultra big’ condoms’.

This machine would be fun to try, but as you rightly noted, it can’t be good for the lobster.
I know he’ll get eaten in the end, however, from the time you “catch” it to the time you get it home the little guy could be going through quite an ordeal.
Still, lobster is yummy…

I just found one in Rossford, Oh. The local’s thought it was weird that I was taking pictures of it and asked where I was from. Are these more popular that I figure or do the people in rossford, oh never leave rossford?
